Transfer

On arrival at Bangkok's Don Muang Airport, there are various modes of tranport that will bring you to your destination.

Minibus/Limousine Service

Thai Airways runs both a minibus and limousine service from the airport to the major hotels. The limousines, while more expensive than any other mode of transport, may be the most convenient way into Bangkok, particular during rush hour. Because they have to fight the traffic to deliver their passengers to various hotels around the city, the minibuses can take considerable time to get you to your hotel.

Taxis

You can book an air conditioned public taxi at the taxi counter at the left hand side of the Arrival Hall. The fare is determined according to your destination. The clerk will write down your destination and the price. Give this ticket to the taxi driver, and pay him the price noted on it when you arrive at your destination. A meter taxi service is also available outside the arrival hall. It is clearly marked, just get in the queue. The expressway fees (40 Baht) are not included in the fare.
The non-metered taxi is as well available for your selection, the fare may cost more expensive than the meter taxi because the driver will propose very high price due traffic conditions and time consume, however the passengers can bargain the price, nevertheless the cost is still high.

Airport Bus

A special express bus service operates from the airport to four areas of Bangkok : route A1 goes to the Silom Road Area; route A2 goes to Banglumpoo (near Khao San Road, the backpacker's haven) ; route A3 runs along Sukhumvit Road; route A4 ends at Hua Lampong Railway Station. Detailed maps of the routes are available at the bus counter (to the left of the taxi counter).

Public Buses

For economy-minded travellers, air conditioned buses - Nos. 4, 13 and 29 stop in front of the airport. The last bus leaves at around 8 p.m.
